18. Baju kurung
19. Rain (well, most of the time)
20. The many holidays!
21. The many gorgeous islands (Langkawi, Pangkor, Perhentian, Redang, Tioman, Sipadan etc)

Think would probably only truly appreciate Malaysia when am travelling abroad and missing home.

I’m going to Genting Highlands again end of this year! Last time I went I was only 12 I think. Now I can enter the casinos
sulz: apparently the casino isn’t that great, unless you like lots of smoke. when you go there, must try all the new crazy rides; probably not as nice as what your theme parks have but well, what else is there to do in genting then hor?

11 and 25 are common in India too. And they’re great. Just yesterday I bought this DVD with 5 movies on it! Ah, the joy!
I don’t go to them expensive hotels and restaurants because you’re expected to pay tips. Why should I give the waiter more tip if I ate more huh? He just brought the things to the table and he gets the god damn salary for that. So either it’s Pizza places or cheap restaurants where you get the best chicken in India.
sulz: not only are the dvds cheap the quality’s good too, for the price they come in! am not sure about hotels here since do not frequent eateries there, but expect they’re the same everywhere in the world. in malaysia, most restaurants have service charge already so we’re forced to tip in that sense.

I miss goreng pisang. burger tepi jalan. pasar malam. hanging out in Komtar or Kompleks Bukit Jambul in Penang with my friends. driving round town. hiking up penang hill every once in a while and so many more I can’t remember right now. Malaysia is a beautiful country.
I lived there for 12 years but I’m back in my country now.
Selamat Hari Merdeka!
sulz: wow, interesting! why were you in malaysia for 12 years? work? indeed, malaysia is beautiful, but you having lived here for a long time, am sure you saw the ugly parts of it as well.
well, no country is perfect, is it!
and yes, burger tepi jalan aka ramly burger rocks!

#11 probably makes Malaysia worth it by itself. Now I need to actually go there to see what all that other stuff is.
sulz: hehe, everything about malaysia is worth it should you ever visit! the first ten in the list are scrumptious mouth-watering food you can only get here (food at malaysian restaurants overseas don’t taste the same). if you’re planning for a cheap holiday, consider malaysia.

We love your list of Malaysian things - especially on Malaysian cartoonists & celebrities! haha.. we hope that someday (soon), these people will be able to venture abroad, promoting Malaysia, and making a name for themselves internationally.
sulz: thank you.
to have a born and bred malaysian recognised internationally would be awesome for sure.
Say what?
