I kind of have the tiniest crush on one of my readers.
Maybe there is something to this whole inner beauty business after all!

A Single Life Looks More Attractive From This Point of View
Of Chivalry & Gender Equality
aiyer…. spill it out la. no need to be shy.
sulz: yeah lah, you seronok lah if i tell…
Oh boy…it’s the love blog!
I think that’s perfectly natural Sulz. We’re human beings…developing crushes is part of how we are hardcoded. A lot of us spend a good deal of time on our blogs or promoting them. In that sense it’s kind of like our work environments, and god knows many a relationship is formed at the office.
If nothing else, it gives you ample blogging fodder if you decide to write about it, and I’m sure many of us are sitting on the edge of our seats. Who doesn’t love quality drama?
Just make sure that in both situations (the reader that likes you and the reader you like) that you protect your feelings first and foremost. You know….I’m always looking out for you even though I know you know how to take care of yourse.
sulz: haha i’m going to disappoint you terribly then. i don’t intend to reveal who it is, nor do i intend to let him know privately. it’s just a silly infatuation which will wear off in time!
unfortunately when it comes to love matters i wear my heart on my sleeve, and i find it very hard to get over someone once i really like them. hence my not telling him!
but thanks for caring for me. *hugs*
“I wear my heart on my sleeve”
Oh Sulz, I know all to well what you mean, buddy. That describes me perfectly. ( I even mentioned it in that “100 things about me” page I made yesterday in a rare off-topic adventure deep into my psyche)
This can be both a blessing and a curse. The key is to use that to your advantage. That’s why I say “protect your feelings.” With our hearts thus exposed on our sleeves, it is easy to wound us, but the reward for those that win our hearts is the passionate love we bestow upon them. I suspect that like myself you love deeply and fully. We seem to be giving people by nature.
sulz: ah, but since i give so much, i expect just as much if not more! which hasn’t worked for me so far.
but well, one can hope!
Interesting/sneaky what you did with the secret pages-in-a-post thing. Well, lots of us have a crush on you, sulz. What I’m wondering is: is the person you have a crush on the same one who has a crush on you? You probably won’t say, but I have some guesses…hahahahaha…!
sulz: haha, yes, cheap trick to up the hits… well, in exchange for a secret i think it’s a fair price! anyone who has a crush on me, please say so. i’m absolutely clueless if you don’t… but well, i guess you have a right to keep it secret.
i sure wish who i like likes me back!
I always knew you had a crush on me! Haha okay, I need to stop digging the jokes.
So, blogging block.. are you sure it’s a blogging blog or is it paranoia for hits? They are two different things you know. When you’re having a blogging block, you don’t have anything to write about but when you have a paranoia for hits, well that’s when you wanna become more popular and need more people reading you right? Maybe you should just chill..I won’t say take a break because that would sound too Matt-like if you know what I mean. But yeah, chill and let your thoughts flow and write whatever you want to..whether it makes sense or not. The best way of getting rid of this type of feelings is to just catch hold of a person and abuse him/her as much as you can. Give him the worst abuses you know etc..it’ll make you feel happy. You can ever curse me for always being off-topic y’know. I won’t mind.
sulz: oh man, why do you have to let the cat out of the bag? i think it’s a little bit of both. i noticed that my recent posts are not the usual thought-provoking stuff that i really enjoy doing, but more of the personal feel-good stuff where i share myself with you guys, which i also enjoy a lot.
nah, i don’t care if comments go off-topic. i’m just happy i get comments! i have an idea for a post now, all i need to do is get rid of my fatigue and concentrate!
Do it then! Get outta your laziness and look out the window woman..there are people in different countries of the world waiting to read what you write with hunger in their eyes! Do it, I say!
And it totally sucks I’m not the only Indian on your blogroll anymore.
Also, Bharat is not 16 years old, I believe.
sulz: do what? tell who is it i have a crush on? no way!
hey, you’ll always be my favourite indian, ish.
(he says he’s 16 wor, when we chatted in meebo!)
Ah nevermind, he is 16 after all. But it still sucks that I’m not the only Indian in there now.
I sympathise about the blogger’s block. I’ve had it quite badly all week and haven’t known what to write about; or rather I have ideas but haven’t been able to type it out… makes you want to bang your head against the desk again and again, doesn’t it? Interesting that yours started after you changed your writing style… is it any different trying to find blogging ideas now?
And you know, you say this post isn’t that intellectual, but I disagree! I think you raise an interesting point about relationships and crushes even if you didn’t mean to… are crushes just an infatuation? I’ve always thought they’re not just something that go away with time, more that you move through them… I agree with KS, though, I think it’s natural that you (and they) might develop some feelings. You have a very open blog and when you’re sharing thoughts, that happens.
Anyway, whoever your crush is, he’s a lucky guy… um, I’m assuming guy, right?
sulz: nah, i don’t think it’s to do with the way i write now, just too busy with college. well, to me, crushes = infatuation. you’re just attracted to what you’ve seen so far, but you haven’t known the person inside out. when you do and you still feel infatuated, maybe it has deepened to devoted love.
guy, girl, it doesn’t leave you out. and everyone else for that matter!
No, I didn’t mean tell who you have a crush on. I meant write the post which is in your head silly!
Good to know I’m still the fave Indian
sulz: yes, me silly sometimes. course you’re my favourite indian, wait till you see the handwritten valentine i made for you!
Ha, best – post – ever.
sulz: haha, really? why? i’m glad you liked it though!
Short and sweet. Two crushes in one post? My, my, my!
sulz: i know, my online life is far more happening than my offline one! :mgreen:
