blogging gobbledygook and such

1. Be articulate. No more hems and haws or, even worse, a diarrhoea of babbles and jabbers. Must learn to collect thoughts and voice them in a way that reflects intelligence and insightfulness. Demonstrate wit and civility whenever possible as well. Sarcasm and humour so dry it splits your ends will earn top marks.

2. Be committed. This blog deserves a responsible owner who consistently feeds it with substantial and grammatically sound posts and cleans its comment box from filthy spam and ghastly remarks.

3. Be focussed. Get heavy-duty Determination to ward off Distraction and Digression. Is absolutely vital if want to complete assignments in efficient manner and improve on GPA.

Three should be a good number to start as any.

  1. Paradise
Two people are lost in the desert. They are dying from hunger and thirst. Finally, they come to a high wall. On the other side they can hear the sound of a waterfall and birds singing. Above, they can see the branches of a lush tree extending over the top of the wall. Its fruit look delicious.
One of them manages to climb over the wall and disappears down the other side. The other, instead, returns to the desert to help other lost travelers find their way to the oasis.

    The Nature of Things
Two monks were washing their bowls in the river when they noticed a scorpion that was drowning. One monk immediately scooped it up and set it upon the bank. In the process he was stung. He went back to washing his bowl and again the scorpion fell in. The monk saved the scorpion and was again stung. The other monk asked him, “Friend, why do you continue to save the scorpion when you know it’s nature is to sting?”
“Because,” the monk replied, “to save it is my nature.”

    The Present Moment
A Japanese warrior was captured by his enemies and thrown into prison. That night he was unable to sleep because he feared that the next day he would be interrogated, tortured, and executed. Then the words of his Zen master came to him, “Tomorrow is not real. It is an illusion. The only reality is now.” Heeding these words, the warrior became peaceful and fell asleep.

  2. […] What are your resolutions that you’d probably not fulfil this time around? Before that, let’s review the previous New Year’s resolutions. […]

  3. looks like i’m too early to comment in this post! i mean, since this year is almost over and the next year is so near, i’m early, rather than late!
ok, maybe i should think about new year resolutions now? i’ll just make one. i have got to learn to be more practical. need to seriously think how to have a (possibly likable) stable income source! πŸ˜€

and i can’t afford to flunk at this one!

sulz: i think i’ve got my resolutions ready already for the next year. how about balancing between a practical but stable part-time job? then you can devote your time to your other artsy but unstable income job. πŸ˜›

  4. Sulz,
It took me forever to troll back to the beginning of your blog.Primarily because I was too inept to notice that you did indeed have an “Archive” widget. It would have been a no brainer to locate your “blog start”, had it been right underneath the “Calendar” widget. C’est la vie.

You’ve been active for some time. Will take many hours for me to catch up to present day. Am expecting a pleasant and informative journey from the far side of the world, back to the present.

Now to get on with it….

    Regards, Bob

sulz: hey bob! hmm, good point, nobody seemed interested in reading my archives before so i thought i’d put it way down below if ever one needs it! thank you for the hits, nonetheless. πŸ˜€ please feel free to comment in past posts too! (oh, i see that you just did, haha!)
