blogging gobbledygook and such

Super critical major blogging block! Kind of excusable though, seeing as finals start this Wednesday (barely started on revision too eeps πŸ˜• ).

Perhaps bloggerdygook‘s kind readers can help out in providing content for today’s post instead? If you have any questions you ever wanted to ask sulz, well now she’s begging inviting you to do so in the comments section.

Seriously, just ask – nothing’s too risquΓ© for sulz!
(Hopefully will not regret saying this haha >.<)

*

Okay, if you really have no curious nosy bone in your body, how about answering this question for sulz? She would like you to name one thing that you like and one thing that you dislike about the blog (or the blogger). Please answer both parts of the question honestly and sincerely; appreciate much! πŸ™‚

Oh, and one more thing?

Wishing you a very good day! πŸ˜€

I like the floral patterning on the background of the blog skin. But I don’t like the image of The Shire.

Une question pour toi: which would you choose, to swim with a killer whale or to prance in the African plains with a lion?
(What a strange dilemma question! Mais c’est moi!)

sulz: heh, like those floral bits too! but the shire picture is nice also what! πŸ˜› so cosy and idyllic. but each to their own tastes lah hor.

killer whale. (and it’s not said to please your killer whale lover side – memang have a thing for sea mammals!)

    thanks for humouring self, hehe.

  2. πŸ™‚ yup I am not very nosy, I used to be but I have mellowed over the years.

What I like about the blog: it is like sitting around in a room full of friends talking and having a good time.

What I dislike about the blog: when the blogger beats up on herself for things she can’t control.

sulz: wow, really like what you said you like about this blog!

err, hehe… that one, will try not to do so much… sometimes, can’t help but feel like that, and it’s only here that can pen such feelings so as to be able to get over it.

    thanks for helping out! πŸ™‚

Wow. So deep the description. While I merely touch on the really superficial things. I think it’s because most of my brain cells have been milked for my 4000-word essay due next Friday so I can’t think now. -bleah-

sulz: uh, what are you referring to exactly? self’s brain cells are not at their prime too – currently doing mind maps for revision, haha!

anyway, superficial’s fine – it’s the honest and sincere part that matter most, yeah? πŸ˜‰

  4. I can relate to blog block. What I like about your blog (among many things) is that you USE things like blog block for a higher purpose–to ask questions like this! What don’t I like? I’m afraid I fail miserably here, as I can’t come up with anything.

Question for sulz: What do you see yourself doing ten years from now? Cheers.

sulz: cannot, cannot, there must be something you don’t like! or something you can suggest that can improve as a blogger. something! πŸ˜›

there are two dreams that could possibly achieve in 10 years’ time. one is to be working as a lecturer in the alma mater (because am so in love with self’s college like you wouldn’t believe). another is to be happily married with a couple of kids. this one is more unlikely though. πŸ˜‰

  5. Let’s see, the colours and look I like, but the banner detracts from it by two points! 😦 Why is it there, apart from being annoyingly present?

sulz: hmm, hopefully you’ll like it still when change themes soon! πŸ™‚ banners? you mean the responsible commenting and sumatran rhino ones? err… ‘cos they’re cute. >.<

  6. I meant the One.org one, not the rhinos πŸ™‚

sulz: ah, that one… ‘cos it’s cute too. >.<

    haha! 😳

  7. That’s our Sulz πŸ™‚ Awww!

sulz: awak ni, sengaja nak kacau saya ya! πŸ˜›

  8. what i like about this blog,
commenter loyalty. gosh, how i envy you for that!

    what i don’t like?
    nothing!

    what you could improve on?
you deserve even more exposure. i don’t know how you can improve that, though!

    question for you?
i answered totally honestly. so i hope you will do so too, sis! πŸ˜€
why don’t you comment in my blog too often?
i’m not attacking you or begging for more comments or anything. just want to know the reason! and say it honestly – i can take it. and i need to know, since i want to improve on that aspect (that readers will feel like commenting more) of my blog!

sulz: am sure as we speak your blog is garnering its own fans too, so just keep on blogging! πŸ™‚

meh, you didn’t answer the question fully… actually if were to use those social bookmark sites, could probably improve on hits and stuff.

well, the stuff that you write mostly concerns the technical side of blogging, and as you can see this blogger is not that much technical – she doesn’t even use stumbleupon, twitter and stuff! you’re on her blog surfer though, for what it’s worth. πŸ˜‰

  9. Almost everybody talked about the blog, me will talk about the blogger.

What I like about you is the way you express your emotions. When people write, it can get monotonous. You know, it’s the same English after all. But when you’re reading Sulz, there’s a distinct feeling. Her style is her own and there’s nobody who does it like her. The way she refers to herself as self is like something very interesting that makes you read on and on and on and on and on.

But sometimes I feel you’re not really expressing what you feel, Sulz. I sometimes feel that you’re suppressing your emotions. It maybe just me thinking up stuff. But that’s what I feel.

sulz: omg 😳 that is so nice of you, ish! *hugs* oh, and that self bit? not original at all – nicked it off bridget jones. πŸ˜‰

hmm, you’re not totally wrong there. there are times when words – at least the ones to self’s small knowledge – are not adequate to express how self feel without being offensive or inaccurate. so… the restrained ones are the next best thing?

  10. Apalah! πŸ™‚ Layout untuk blog/site ni cantik, tetapi, kalau banner itu di atas (banner yang boleh pusing), look-nya “aneh” sikit. If you could get the banner to be placed somewhere else and have a matching colour scheme, that’ll be a lot better πŸ˜€

sulz: eleh, kononnya nak cakap macam orang tempatan lah! haha! πŸ˜› don’t worry, am changing themes soon and it will match the colour, heh.

  11. Love:
-No matter what you write about you always make it interesting.
-How each one of your post tittles is a question.
-How you answer each one of your comments inside the same comment.

    Dislike:
-Sometimes when you blog about blogging. Like blogging blocks. If you don’t have much blogging material in your mind you can let it rest a little. Your faithful readers will stay and understand.
Of course this behaviour of yours is something many people like, and it can become a conversation like this one.

Conclusion: I don’t want you or your blog to change.

    Question:
-How do you manage to never let slip a first person pronoun?

sulz: thanks for telling what you love – glad you notice the title bit!

hehe, get really anxious when the hits dip because there isn’t a new post up, and since that is what is on self’s mind decide to write about it and sometimes am creative enough to make it interesting (hopefully)!

aww that’s really sweet, thank you for that. *hugs*

hehe, by proofreading over and over before publishing. also, sometimes cheat by blockquoting and using first person pronouns in cases where felt like using it. πŸ™‚

  12. Aye, I never saw Bridget Jones, so it’s original as far as I’m concerned. πŸ˜€

    sulz: πŸ˜‰

  13. Colour scheme change? Bagus! πŸ˜€

    sulz: πŸ™‚

  14. another is to be happily married with a couple of kids. this one is more unlikely though.

    Why’s that unlikely? I guess you won’t if you don’t wanna…

sulz: it’s more unlikely because have yet to find a person would like to marry and have kids? πŸ˜‰ answer is subject to change when do meet such a person.

oh, you didn’t answer the question…

  15. Could you imagine being married with children AND being college lecturer? Just asking πŸ˜‰

sulz: haha… if am blessed to have kids, would rather be a teacher in school instead – less workload (right?).

  16. Now you Sulz. What do you love about your own blog and what do you dislike about it?

You probably won’t dislike anything since you’re like, in control of what goes on here. πŸ˜›

sulz: well, really love the people who frequent bloggerdygook – they make blogging very rewarding and it’s a boost to the self-esteem. πŸ™‚ at the moment, don’t exactly dislike it but the blog’s theme is getting boring. am planning to change it soon.

  17. Yeah, I got sick of my theme too. But I see my options are too limited. How did you get themes like this one? Did you have to pay? Did you make it?

sulz: have the css upgrade compliments of mark (wordpress staff). this theme was ported by devblog. see sidebar for details. πŸ™‚

  18. […] perspective, seeing as have so much going for self, so much am blessed with yet am choosing to brood over things have no control of… This entry was written by sulz and posted on November 22, 2007 at 8:35 am and filed under […]
