blogging gobbledygook and such

hello. this is sulz.

sulz is the online persona of… well, if i told you who exactly then there’s no need to create sulz in the first place, is there? suffice to say the real person nothing like what those rainbow lips may suggest!

sulz was a proficient blogger from 2006 to 2008 when she was a college student. in 2009, she entered the workforce and lost her blogging steam. took an indefinite break and now has decided to resume blogging.

why? well, read what she has to say and then maybe you’ll know.

so who is this sulz creature? she’s just over a quarter of a century old but she doesn’t look like the sort who would age gracefully. she has issues with happiness and commitment (4 jobs in 3 years) but now has found a new job which she is determined to stay at for at least two years (the longest she’s worked in one place so far is 10 months). she is blogging again because she wants to but also because it’s good for her in many ways. right now, she is uncertain of which direction this blog is heading to (previously she wrote a lot of thoughtful posts that invite readers to share their two cents on universal topics), but one thing’s for sure is that she is not using any caps whatsoever in her writing. lazy arse.

  1. I loved the anti-‘txt tlk’ message. I’m sorry I can’t resist putting it up…may I?

sulz: go ahead! it doesn’t belong to self, ripped it off from someplace else too.

Beautiful graphics layout for your Blog ! πŸ™‚

sulz: thanks, but it’s not self’s own css doing, sadly. just copied straight off sunburntkamel’s site, who ported this theme [bus full of hippies] into sandbox.

  3. Hey Sulz, been reading your blog for sometime now and it’s really cool. Plus you’ve used the CSS upgrade really well. Yours is one of the neatest blogs I’ve ever seen in my life.

    Keep up the good work!

sulz: wow, what did self do to deserve such a compliment? but thanks a lot! πŸ™‚ as for the css, it’s all thanks to sunburntkamel who ported the theme into sandbox – merely copied the css!

hey, your piano half of the header is really nice!

  4. Did you delibrately increase the font size or did it just happen? I think it looked better with the small font.

sulz: haha, yes, and also the font type. the other font matches the theme well, but am itching for a little change. πŸ˜‰ there’s always ctrl + scroll!

  5. That’s fine, nothing is permanent except change. On second thoughts, this statement totally doesn’t make any sense in here :))

sulz: that’s right, and am not so fond of changes despite it being so. nope, not much sense, but who cares! πŸ™‚

  6. I found your blog through the Forum. Really love your CSS. Good job! πŸ™‚ And I support the “Save the vowels” movement too.

sulz: hi, thanks. πŸ™‚ just copied and pasted what sunburntkamel ported actually. if you support the save the vowels movement, feel free to copy and paste that gif in your blog!

  7. oooh i support good grammar too! πŸ˜€ huzzah huzzah. long live pedantic english usage by folk like ourselves. thanks for dropping by my blog πŸ™‚

sulz: likewise re blog. πŸ™‚ feel free to swipe the grammar gif, we must overrun those bunch of bloggers who eat their vowels (and some consonants) as alphabet soup.

  8. You have a very nice blog, very different from others. It’s great to be able to modify the CSS. Makes we wanna change too. Haha. Thanks for dropping by my blog.

sulz: thanks! it is, and at $15 a year it’s not too bad, but better to have some knowledge in css before actually getting it. and likewise. πŸ™‚

  9. Beautiful Hobbity new look, Sulz!

sulz: hello! thanks for visiting; nice to see you in self’s place outside of the forums. πŸ˜‰

  10. sulz, came to say you are welcome..take care

    sulz: thanks! you too. πŸ™‚

  11. Nice to see the ‘Save the Vowels’ banner elsewhere. Never noticed you had it up as well! Wish more people cared about it!

I like this CSS a lot, but I think I prefer the one you had a while back. Either way, keep it up. πŸ™‚

sulz: heh, swiped it off cornell’s blog actually. the hobbit was nice, but it was time for a change. thanks for dropping by! πŸ™‚

  12. I’m glad I came across this blog, you make a lot of thought-provoking posts =D

P.S I love books too, three of my walls are completely stacked with books (no joke).

sulz: thank you, i hope you’d comment on them in future. πŸ˜‰

i’m very envious of your walls then, they sound wonderful. πŸ˜›

  13. Hi….you have a really great blog here…like the way you write and the design…simply superb….:-)….

sulz: hello! thank you so much for the awesome compliment! πŸ˜€

  14. I love this theme… but dont see it on wordpress themes… Is it paid?

sulz: sort of. i have the css upgrade, which costs $15. the theme is free though. πŸ™‚

  15. Oh ok nice…. πŸ™‚

sulz: thanks. πŸ™‚ it’s a nice theme you chose for your blog.

  16. Just came in here from Ruhi’s blog. The flowers at a top are really beautiful and the blog is very “neat n clean”. Cute Cute. πŸ™‚

sulz: thank you! and thanks for leaving a comment. πŸ™‚

  17. Hi…

Wonderrrfulll template…I’m in love with it….did you create this yourself? If yeah, is it available for download/use…? If not, can I get this anywhere…if you wouldn’t mind telling…?

    Wow again. Happy blogging!

sulz: thank you. i did not create this, and it’s available for download if you search. the theme is called bus full of hippies, but the blogspot version has a different name, i believe. πŸ™‚

  19. Does a blogspot version exist for this theme…in case you happen to know?

sulz: yes, but i don’t know the name.

  20. @Sanyukta: Sulz should be answering this but I am. Yeah, a blogspot version for this theme does exist. There’s this girl called “Nidhi” in my blogroll. She was using this theme not so long back so maybe you could ask her and she’ll tell you.

sulz: good! ‘cos i didn’t know the answer anyway, haha.

  21. You have been tagged!

sulz: thanks for tagging me! πŸ™‚

  31. If you are someone who purportedly supports the use of proper English, then why do you constantly use incorrect grammar?

  32. We cheap viagra offer you happiness!
