blogging gobbledygook and such

Am archiving this. Thanks to the five – now ten – friends who took the time to search for it! πŸ™‚ Curious: does it matter to see the face behind the blogger? What difference does it make to have seen how self look like?

Why would you want to search for a hidden blog post?

Because you can get the link to another post, which is password protected, that will show photos of sulz the blogger. And this is not the one of sulz’s kiddy photos. Have previously said will not show photos of self, but have changed self’s mind.

So, if you want to see the face behind the blogger and the rainbow-hued hotlips, you have to search in the archives for a day with two posts (have never posted more than one post a day). When you find the hidden blog post, leave a comment with your e-mail address to get the password and link via e-mail.

You may think it’s a lot of bother just to see how the blogger looks, but well, am doing this more for the regular readers (bloggerdygeeks and forum friendlies, please humour sulz!). Unfamiliar and new commenters cannot get password until have known you for a bit more, so if you comment more, the password can be yours. ) Also, have to maintain a certain anonymity for security as would not like people from self’s life to discover self and this blog. Am hoping this exercise will promote reading of posts in the archives and just basically for you to get to know self better, and better if you would comment in them and allow self to get to know you too.

Hopefully you will find this a fun little game!

Clue: hidden blog post is dated under a significant date for almost anyone in the world.

  1. Hehe It was fun to know how you look like! I’m glad I caught it before it was gone.

I guess I do like to know how bloggers look like, it takes away the paranoid feeling that they are trained monkeys or robots.

Just so you know, I saved the pictures and I’m willing to blackmail you with showing them to the world!

    I kid, I kid.

sulz: trained monkey? sulz? haha! having seen how you look like yourself, yes, it’s nice to see the face behind the words, isn’t it? πŸ˜‰

what would you have blackmailed self with, anyway? πŸ˜›

  2. I tried but didn’t find it. Well guess I didn’t put much effort in. 😦

sulz: lazy bugger! πŸ˜› go check your e-mail.

  3. As one of the “lucky five” so far, I’m not sure why I was so curious–probably because you made it a game, and made me want to see!
I should talk, I’ve posted very few personal details on my blog, and certainly no pictures. For me, blogging is about engaging in ideas, and all the outer traits don’t matter at all. Lots of bloggers put up pictures, or very detailed biographies, and I both like and dislike that. Like, because I get a better sense of who they are, Dislike because I read their words through those filters.
An aside: (I dare you not to edit this out!) You are much more gorgeous than you let on, so other folks: get a look while you can!

sulz: in the about page have said comments are unmoderated, so you get away with this. πŸ˜› but readers shouldn’t get your hopes too high before seeing the pictures!

agree that when read a blog without a face to the blogger, it makes you concentrate on the words more than the image.

  4. crazy and muse,
how much will you take to spill the secret?

i want to know NOW, not after a frantic search!

    sulz,
you have some nerve, sis! torturing your friends like this!

sulz: so much for torture, you did find it in the end what!

  5. Netty, no amount will suffice! My honor and integrity will not be compromised! {whispers} but, if you email me @…

    sulz: haha, cheeky people!

  6. muse!

if you don’t tell me right now, i will kill you! i don’t want to email you @… cos i wanna know NOW.

on the other hand, don’t tell me if you don’t wanna tell me. big deal. who wants to see sulz anyway!

and if someone wants to see her, s-he should try honestly by searching………like me!

all i wanted to say here is i have FOUND IIIIIIIIIIIIIT! mwa ha ha!

sulz: wow, it’s getting really loud in here eh? πŸ˜‰

  7. hey!
    that’s not fair!

all we had to say is “I tried but didn’t find it. Well guess I didn’t put much effort in” -like ish – and you would have let us in? why didn’t you say so before!

i thought you believe in equal opportunity!

sulz: but he tried didn’t he? at least, trust that he did.

believe in equal opportunity, and also in exceptions depending on the situation…

  8. Ah yes, I did try. I tried looking for the days that could be important in somebody’s life. The only idea that struck me was Christmas and I went through entire December and didn’t find a thing. Trust me when I say that.

I wonder how I didn’t catch the “Only day you made more than two posts on” part.

    sulz: okaylah, good enough.

your mind is too full of your crush, must be. πŸ˜›

  9. I started looking for the post before but I stopped after a little while. This might sound stupid but I realised that I actually liked the mystery more; I like the idea of that distance you get with blogging sometimes, that you know a person’s voice better than what they look like. It shows that the rest of it (though interesting!) doesn’t really matter. πŸ˜‰

I’m one to talk, though. I’ve got a nice big picture in the sidebar (which I know uses the worst colours online, it never comes up properly, LOL). But hey, I’m hoping an agent recognises me when I’m out and offers me a deal on the spot, so it’s staying. Good luck to everyone else in the search! πŸ˜€

sulz: yeah sometimes your perception can change after seeing the face behind the words. πŸ™‚ (for what it’s worth, you could read the protected post without viewing the pictures as have placed links instead of the images. the really interesting thing in that post aren’t the pictures but the comments! πŸ˜‰ )

certainly anyone would recognise your beard, if anything lol! πŸ˜›

    everyone saw the pictures already…

  10. Am much relieved will not be killed by Netty Gritty. She is generally a kind person–got herself all worked up about this!
sulz, you certainly stirred up some trouble with this one! All worth it though, to see your lovely self.

sulz: haha, she’s hyper all right! πŸ˜› meh, self is okay, but thanks for sweet compliment. πŸ˜€

  23. I just started this thing on my daughters computer and your the first person I have commented to. Your being helpful is why I’m writing this . The number of people on computers seem to be greater than the stars. Intimidating. I probably won’t have a whole lot to say but will do a lot of reading. My interest in wordpress resulted from my search for the early Christian house church. A blog will let me talk to others who have been there done that. Blog, what a strange word. seems like each generation picks up words, dusts them off and calls them something else. Sure keeps one on their toes trying to understand what people are talking about. Can you even emagine what it would be like conversing with someone in say the midsixties? I better be careful here this is getting a bit long .Not everyone likes to read long stuff. Anyhow I’ve not done anything to fill out a blog so it would be nice to have someone to help if they so desired. Thanks for having this little square for me to say something in.

  24. I am sure this post has touched all the internet visitors, its really really nice piece of writing on building up new
    website.
